New Poll for the homepage. Simple question guys, what is your favourite Playstation branded console and why?

I can't go past the PS1. It was the PS1 that took me to the pinnacle of my gaming at a young age. It's when I became introduced to RPG games like Final Fantasy VII and Jade Cacoon. It was also a time when I'd first play 3D platformers like Crash Bandicoot and Spyro.

The PS1 was a massive success in the 5th Generation blowing consoles like the N64, Saturn and Dreamcast off the park in terms of quality games and sales.

So, What is your favourite Playstation branded console and why?

The PS2 and in more ways than one! 

Backwards compatible with all PS1 games, controllers, memory cards, ect.
DVD player which is always good to have when one messes up.
Easy Memory Card hacks.
The games (for those of you whom have seen my ESR listings, you know what I mean)!
The applications (ESR and OpenPS2Loader).

I would have to say the PS3. Even though I have played the PS1 and the PS2 for many hours throughout my life, I still have to say that the PS3 is my favorite just because of the great games, but the PS1 and PS2 will always be up there with some of the greatest consoles of all time.

ps2 had some amazing RPG's, so ps2.. i was in between ps2 and psp, due to psp's awesome homebrew

I would have to go with the PS2.  The overwhelming number of good/great games and the enormous library is just awesome!  I grew up with an Atari 2600 and have owned, and still own most of the systems leading up to the PS2, but it is still one of the greatest systems ever made.

I cast my vote for the PSP. I've always been a big fan of handhelds.  Just can't beat taking it with you anywhere.  I use mine a lot to play GBC roms via MasterBoy.

If I had to choose a console, then it would be the fat PS2 w/Free McBoot.

For me, the ps1. It is the only playstation i owned, but i still occasionally play its games and enjoy them. They had great graphics, but better gameplay, which makes me always come back for more.

I can't belive i sold my PlayStation 2... i was addicted to World of Warcraft so i decided to sold it because i didn't think i would go back to console gaming. Now i regret it but not that much because Pcsx2 is awesome !

I've finally tried Kingdom Hearts and i'm loving it. Yes i love the first one haha.

Mine would have to be, hmm i was going to say PS1, but i think it would actually be the PSP. While I loved my PS1 do death, I loved the PSP too and it sticks more in my mind

I said PS2 because even though my PS3 has full backwards compatibility I have to give the PS2 the credit it deserves for being one of if not the best console/s of all time...
